Take the path that does right by the other person.
Even if it causes you physical, emotional and/or financial burden, take the path where you own responsibility for your actions.
It’s easy to run and choose the path of least resistance in a situation that doesn’t seem to have grand consequence in the whole scheme of things.
But it matters…because how you do anything is how you do everything.
If you start slipping on the small things before you know it you may start slipping on the things that have great significance and consequence.
But before you get too caught up in yourself, don’t forget about the person you may have wronged or disrespected.
While you think they are not like you — they are just like you.
Always be the bigger man. And not just when it’s convenient to be so.
When you have caused imbalance and disruption it’s your responsibility to restore equilibrium.
The situation may not end in your favor.
But the lesson is invaluable.
So in fact the situation did end in your favor.
Because you did the right thing.
