The information that has previously served you, may not serve you today.
The knowledge you thought was correct yesterday, may not be correct today.
The ideas and beliefs you associate your character with, may need to be destroyed and reconfigured.
The moral of the story is, don’t get attached to who you think you are, and the thing’s you think you know. Your ego wants to be ‘right’. Your ego doesn’t enjoy the moments you realise YOU ARE WRONG. To combat this, you must allow this feeling of brutal humility to overcome you, that is, if you want to live a true life with integrity.
Don’t let your ideas of how you think the world operates delude you from the reality of how it actually operates.
Instead, be formless and fluid with your ideas, thoughts and beliefs.
Question the foundations of your being, and be courageous enough to unlearn them.
It would be irresponsible and conceited of you to ignore your ignorance for the sake of protecting your ego. You will be wrong. Don’t worship anything you believe, or anything anyone else believes. You will be wrong again, and so will they.
“True knowledge exists in knowing that you know nothing.” — Socrates
